A.G. Huguley, 90, of Olton, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, in Olton. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Halfway Cemetery in Halfway under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, April 14, 2017.
A.G. was born October 30, 1926, in Hale County on the family farm to Basil and Mary (Maryfield) Huguley. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. On June 12, 1949, in Clovis, N.M., he married Mildred Tubman and they were married for 65 years. A.G. had a love for farming and ranching and thoroughly enjoyed bringing in the crops. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, A.G. loved telling riddles and especially loved pulling April Fool's pranks on people. He was happiest when spending time with family and looked forward to the yearly family reunion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, in 2015, a son, Garland Huguley in 2010, and eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his sons, John Huguley of Olton and Daryl Huguley and his wife, Janie of Plainview, his daughters, Kay Galloway of Olton and Janet Pyle and her husband, Keith of Lockney. He was blessed with nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
