Obituary

Adrian "Fifi" Garza, 67, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 12, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by family.  Adrian's wishes were to be cremated and buried with his mother and father. There will be a small ceremony on August 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Earth Cemetery (600 CR 159) to celebrate and honor his life.  A meal will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Church Parish Hall in Olton, Texas for family and friends to share memories and to honor one of Fifi's other wishes, to have a "going away celebration".

Adrian was born on November 27, 1956, in Olton, Texas, to Juan and Genoveva Garza. He grew up in a close knit family. He married Linda Garza and together they had one daughter, Linda May Garza, in 1977.

Adrian attended Olton High School and went on to attend technical school in Roswell, NM. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the many labor jobs he obtained throughout his life, including the Olton Gin, American Cotton Growers and Elmer Lewis Enterprises. Adrian enjoyed many things in his lifetime including, fishing, going to casinos, playing poker, but most of all, he enjoyed being around his family and friends. Any time you saw Adrian, he had a smile on his face and would always crack a joke to make you laugh. Adrian also enjoyed dancing. There were many times that you would find him on the dance floor trying to make a move. He was the best father, brother, uncle, and grandpa. His grandchildren and great-grandchild were his life and he will be missed by all.

Adrian was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Genoveva Garza, his brother, Juan Garza, Jr., a nephew, Tony Hernandez, and many aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda May Garza of Oklahoma City, sisters, Norma (Luis) Casares of Olton, Teresa (Tony) Hernandez of Tuttle, OK, and a brother, Henry (Alice) Garza of Round Rock, three nieces, Tracy (Emmanuel) Estrada, Lauren Casares, and Sophia Garza, and three nephews, Jacob (Brittni) Casares, Thomas Hernandez, and Ethan Garza.

Adrian leaves behind a legacy of other survivors including his grandchildren, Adrianna Hernandez, Abigail Hernandez, and Avery Hernandez, all of Oklahoma City and a great-grandchild, Leah Zuniga.
