Alfredo Garza, Jr., 87, of Olton, died Friday, March 20, 2020, in Olton.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 23, 2020, at Olton Cemetery with Fr. Jacob Powell of St. Peter's Catholic Church officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Alfredo was born November 27, 1932, in Runge, Texas, to Alfredo and Elvira (Cardenas) Garza.  Moving to Olton in 1952, Alfredo was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.  On October 9, 1954, he married Olivia Salas in Littlefield and they were married over 65 years.  Alfredo was a farmer for many years before working as the janitor at Olton Jr. High from 1985 to 1995.  He enjoyed playing dominoes, cards, pool, and in his later years, bingo.  A hardworking man, Alfredo loved to dance and spend time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Olivia Garza of Olton, six sons, Rudy Urrea of San Antonio, John Garza of Brownfield, Joe Garza of San Antonio, Jesse Garza of Lubbock, Justin Garza of Dallas, and Jimmy Garza of Austin, one daughter, Patsy Sandoval of McKinney, and one sister, Juanita Mendoza of Corpus Christie.  He was blessed with 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
