Allie Rae Mitchell, 92, of Olton, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 in Plainview. Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the First Baptist Church with Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Allie Rae was born October 9, 1918
in Illinois Bend, Texas to John and Nora Hayes Taylor. She was a lifetime area resident and owned one of the original beauty shops in Olton opening in 1937. She married Eugene Mitchell in 1943. He preceded her in death and in 1979, she married Jack Fisher. He also preceded her in death and she lived in Lubbock for 22 years before moving back to Olton in 2009.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and seven sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Sue Fancher and her husband, Larry of Olton, and Rhonda Chenowith and her husband, Chip of Lubbock. She was also survived by two grandchildren, Rodney Moss and his wife, Shelly and Bryan Moss and his wife, Amy. She was blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Hannah, Ian, Olivia, Sophie, Mason, Finn, and Clementine.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
