Funeral Mass for Amelia Cordeo Perez, 75, of Olton who passed away Thursday September 29, 2011 will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, October 3, 2011 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Olton with Father Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Olton Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday October 2, 2011 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Olton. Arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Amelia was born October 6, 1935 in Melvin, Texas to Doroteo, Sr. and Daria Cordeo. She was a member of the Olton community since 1949, and was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church. Amelia loved to dance, and she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her two daughters, Virginia Perez and Martha Carabajal both of Lubbock; five granddaughters, Natalia Carabajal of San Antonio, Andrea Carabajal of Lubbock, Carissa Carabajal of Lubbock, Jessica Lujan of Rotan, TX, and Miranda Martinez of Lubbock; and five great grandchildren, Alesandrea Espinoza, Joseph Carabajal, Johnaven Perez, Joey Alyssa Lujan, and Joshua Lujan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ebodio "Eddie" Perez; two brothers, Jose Cordero and Doroteo Cordero, Jr.; and a sister, Aurora Aguirre.
