Andrew W. Stroebel, 85, of Olton, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, in Olton. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, July 1, 2016, at Olton Cemetery with Mr. Howard Morris and Mr. Stan Stroebel officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 30, 2016.

Andrew William Stroebel was born August 1, 1930, in Canyon, Texas to Henry and Mary (Bontke) Stroebel. He graduated from Giddings High School in Giddings, Texas and graduated from the Baylor School of Law in 1953. Serving in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, Andy moved to Olton where he was the city attorney for over 50 years. On April 8, 1956, he married Catherine Dodd in Olton and she preceded him in death in 2014. Andy enjoyed spending his time gardening, fishing, and time with family. He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Stroebel, in 2014 and a daughter, Julie Ann.

Survivors include two sons, Vance Stroebel of Flower Mound and Stan Stroebel and his wife, Misty of Dumas, and a daughter, Jo Stroebel of Dumas. He was blessed with seven grandchildren: Dillon, Aarika, Kody, Kyle, Brandon and his wife, Kaysha, Andrea and her husband, Chance, and Shae and one great-grandchild, Aubreigh.
