Anthony Paul Cruz, Jr., 21, of Lubbock and formerly of Amarillo, was born on May 24, 2004, in Lockney, Texas. He passed away on May 1, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. A member of Arise Church in Lubbock, Anthony was widely known for his infectious sense of humor and his passionate love for music. His relentless determination to succeed in all he did and his hardworking nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Anthony's devotion to his family was a defining aspect of his life. He cherished his loved ones deeply, demonstrating an unwavering commitment that will be remembered by his surviving relatives. He is survived by his grandparents, Artemio and Selia Diaz; his mother, Veronica Cabrera; his brother, Steven Cabrera-Romero and his sisters, Isabel (Nathan) Salinas, Aurelia Cruz, Meadow Cruz, and Sarah Cabrera-Romero. He also leaves behind his nieces, Avayah and Ariella Salinas; his uncles, Artemio (Gracie) Diaz and Arturo Diaz; and his aunts, Michelle (Hector) Flores, April (Paulin) Moreno, Adriana (Beto) Medina, and Nichole Williams.
Anthony was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Cabrera.
Arrangements for Anthony Paul Cruz, Jr. are pending with Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton. His legacy of humor, hard work, and deep love for his family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him.
