Antonio Gaona, 81, of Olton, died Monday, April 11, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Living Faith Christian Church, in Olton, with Pastor Valentine Martinez officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Living Faith Christian Church in Olton.

Antonio was born February 2, 1941, in McDade, Texas, to Serapio and Jesusa (Rivera) Gaona.  He moved to Olton in 1991 from Dimmitt and was a member of Living Faith Christian Church.  Antonio enjoyed reading old time comic books and tending to his vegetable gardens.  He was also a talented quilt maker and loved building bird houses.

Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a brother.

Survivors include two brothers, Frank Gaona of Denver, CO and Serapio Gaona, Jr. of Brighton, CO, and a sister, Lupe Martinez of Olton.  He was blessed with 35 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
