Antonio was born February 22, 1944, at his home, in Hearne, Texas, to Eusevio and Francisca (Castillo) Reyes. In 1976, Antonio married Anselma Zambrano and they were married over 47 years before her passing. An Earth resident for over 50 years, Antonio was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.  He worked seasonal work on the farm and was a longtime landscape, including taking care of the Earth Memorial Cemetery. A stubborn and independent man, Antonio was a loving and kind father.  He kept busy outside working on tractors and other various projects. A jokester at heart, many called Antonio, "True Stories", because every time he told a story he would say "true story". Antonio loved cooking out, being with family, and on April 15, 2022, he received Jesus Christ into his heart at IDP Church in Earth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anselma Reyes, in 2018, two sons, Tony Reyes, Jr and Jesus Reyes, a daughter, Isabel Duran Reyes, three grandchildren, six brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Ernest Torres and girlfriend Samantha Aguilar of Littlefield, Jose Reyes of Bryan, and Daniel Reyes and wife Adela of Georgia, two daughters, Patricia Flores and husband Joe of Earth and Martina Reyes Alaniz and husband Alfred of Bryan, two brothers, Francisco Reyes and wife Lupia of Springlake and Eusevio Reyes Jr and wife Sally of Bryan, and four sisters, Maggie Monreal and husband J.R. of Earth, Alice Ramirez of Plainview, Mary Herrera and husband Armando of Plainview, and Sally Reyes of Tulia.  He was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
