Argumedo "Shorty" Sandoval, Sr., 61, of Olton, died Friday, January 4, 2013, in Lubbock. Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M., Monday, January 7, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 8 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. John Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Shorty was born July 30, 1951 to Cesar and Eva Sandoval. He moved to Olton from San Juan, TX in 1975 and was a truck driver. He was a great storyteller and his children and grandchildren will miss hearing his stories and spending time with him.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Benjamin Sandoval and Erasmo Sandoval.

Survivors include his mother, Eva Sandoval of San Juan, two sons, Bruno Sandoval and his wife, Monica of Olton and Argumedo Sandoval, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of Lubbock, his daughter, Crissy Pena and her husband, Kevin of San Antonio, five brothers, Daniel Sandoval, Demetrio Sandoval, Gerardo Sandoval, all of Olton, David Sandoval and Enrique Sandoval, both of San Juan, five sisters, Lydia Lopez of Haskell, Carolina Sandoval of Olton, Priscilla Garcia, Patricia Rodriguez, and Orfelinda Sandoval, all of San Juan. He was blessed with seven grandchildren.
