Arnulfo Maldonado, 64, of Olton, died Friday, August 29, 2014, in Plainview. Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M., Monday, September 1, 2014, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 2, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Msgr. Ben Kasteel as celebrant. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Arnulfo was born November 15, 1949, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Antonio and Aurora (Lopez) Maldonado. He moved to Olton in 1977 from Mineral Wells. He married Yolanda Solis in 1977 in Olton and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He retired after 35 years with Cargill in 2012. Arnulfo enjoyed spending time with friends and family, working on cars, and was a talented handyman around the house.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a brother, and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Yolanda Maldonado of Olton, three sons, Arnoldo Maldonado of Olton, Arnulfo Maldonado, Jr. of Fort Worth, and Juan Garcia of Fort Worth, six daughters, Anna Marie Jaramillo of Tuscola, Delores Arredondo of Fort Worth, Teresa Beltran of Fort Worth, Manuela Gonzalez of Fort Worth, Felicita Maldonado of Olton, and Aurora Garcia of Olton, four brothers, Mario Maldonado of Eden, Antonio Maldonado of Mineral Wells, Fernando Maldonado of Mineral Wells, and Juan Maldonado of Mexico, three sisters, Maria Guadalupe Rico of Santo, Maria Elena Roman of Mineral Wells, and Maria Argelia Hungerford of Whitt. He was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
