A.W. Parker, 86, of Earth, died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at his home in Earth, Texas.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2023, at Earth Memorial Cemetery, with Mr. Trent Tanaro officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023.

A.W. was born April 12, 1937, in Henderson County, Texas, to R.G. and Lucille (Cranford) Parker.  He served in the United States Army after being drafted during the Berlin Crisis.  A.W. married Ruth Labeck from Germany and they were married over 30 years.  A lifetime Earth resident, A.W. worked at area cotton gins in and around Earth. He was a member of Springlake First Baptist Church and served as a volunteer as an EMT and driver for Earth EMS for near 40 years. A.W. was often seen at Allsups getting a cup of coffee and relaxing under the tree watching the cars go by.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.G. and Lucille Parker, his wife, Ruth Laberck, and four sisters.

Survivors include two sisters, Peggy Conner of Springlake and Kathleen Sullivan of Chandler, Texas and a brother, Curtis Parker of Lazbuddie.
