Beatriz Rodriguez, 84, of Olton, died Friday, June 19, 2015, in Lubbock. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton with Fr. John Smith as celebrant. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Ramage Funeral Directors.

Beatriz was born March 31, 1931, in Durango, Mexico to Salvador and Dominga Viera Ontiveros. She married Modesto Rodriguez in 1966 in Durango, Mexico and they were married for 47 years. She moved to Olton in 1980 and was a Catholic. Beatriz enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, and she loved birds.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Modesto Rodriguez of Olton, three sons, Gabino Rodriguez and his wife, Esperanza of Amarillo, Modesto Rodriguez, Jr. and his wife, Maria of Hale Center, and Cesar Rodriguez and his wife, Maria of Asher, OK, one daughter, Maria Rodriguez of Olton, one sister, Carmen Ontiveros of Durango, Mexico and one brother, Salvador Ontiveros, Jr. of Durango, Mexico. She was blessed with seven grandsons and two granddaughters.
