Obituary
Belle Maynard Boverie, 75, of Lubbock, and formerly of Olton, died Monday, September 7, 2009 in Lubbock. Services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 10, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Olton under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Burial will be in Nowata Cemetery, Nowata, Oklahoma.
Belle was born August 13, 1934 in Olton, Texas to Emil and Beulah Sorley. She was a longtime area resident and member of the First Baptist Church in Olton. She married Jerry Maynard in 1951 and graduated from Olton High School in 1952. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. She married John Boverie in 2003 in Olton and they lived in Lubbock.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Barry Maynard in 1976, and two brothers, Garland Sorley, and Archie Sorley.
Survivors include her husband, John Boverie of Lubbock, one son, Scott Maynard and his wife, Deanna of Oologah, OK, one daughter, Pam Mills of Borger, two brothers, Grady Sorley of Bovina, and Gene Sorley of Lubbock, and two sisters, Sibyl Jones of Olton, and Anita Powell of Hugo, OK. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Curt Mills and his wife, Edie, Keith Maynard and his wife, Jennifer, Amy Hammit and her husband, Brit, Kaleb Maynard, and Shellie Mills, and five great grandchildren.
