Betty Jo Hall, 79, of Olton, died Thursday, September 5, 2013, in Olton. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Betty Jo Hall was born March 14, 1934, in Wellington, Texas to Elbert Winston and Bessie Uselton Hicks. She moved to Olton in 1948 from Esperanza, N.M. On March 2, 1952, Betty married Joe Hall in Olton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Betty worked alongside her husband, serving as bookkeeper for Hall's Lumber for over 20 years. Gardening, playing cards (Betty was the family Heart's champion), and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren, were some of her favorite activities.

Betty was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Sanford in 2009.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Hall of Olton, two daughters, Connie Sanford of Dallas and D'Lynne Johnson and her husband, Alan of Leander, a brother, Winston Hicks of Austin and a sister, Joyce Thompson of Bucklin, MO. She was blessed with five grandchildren: D'Anna and her husband, Jason White, Damon, Joseph, Justin, and Jason and three great-grandchildren: Autumn, Coby, and Hallie Jo.
