Bonnie Jo Lunsford, 78, of Springlake, died Sunday, April 3, 2016, in Plainview. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 5, at the First Baptist Church in Springlake with Brother Rob Norris officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery in Olton under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday, April 4, 2016.

Bonnie was born May 18, 1937, in Hale County, Texas, to Alva and Thelma (Huguley) Kersh. She married Bill Lunsford on August 21, 1955, in Hale County. In 1959, she moved from Olton to Springlake and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springlake. Collecting birds, oil lanterns, and watching the Dallas Cowboys were some of her favorite pastimes. She especially loved her family and could always be found talking to one of them on the phone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lunsford, in 1996, a daughter, Jeanette Gay Lunsford, in 1959, and a son, Johnny Wade Lunsford, in 2013.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Rocky Lunsford and his wife, Wendy of Ft. Worth, her daughter, Teresa Williams of Plainview, four brothers, LeRoyce Kersh and his wife, Sandy of Olton, David Kersh and his wife, Betty of Cedar Hill, Calvin Kersh and his wife, Ann of Bedford, and Melvin Kersh and his wife, Cindy of Bedford, two sisters, Joyce Tipton of Victoria and Ladelle West and her husband, Chester of Guymon. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Taylor Lunsford, Justin Lunsford, Madison Lunsford, and Eric and Alexa Lunsford, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
