Brenda Light, 77, of Dallas and formerly of Olton, died Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in Dallas.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 19, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Olton with Brother Neely Landrum officiating.  Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Brenda was born January 26, 1941, in Brownfield, Texas, to Melvin and Katie (Jones) Spear.  She graduated from Andrews High School in 1959 and attended Odessa College and West Texas State College.  Graduating with her education degree, Brenda was a teacher at Olton I.S.D. for 33 years.  On August 24, 1984, Brenda married A.C. Light, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and especially loved animals.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, A.C. Light.

Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Barry Giles and his husband John Gambill of Dallas.
