Rodney Brent Hamby, 61, of Olton, died Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Olton Cemetery, with Mr. Daniel "Booner" Smith officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Brent was born August 16, 1963, in Plainview, Texas, to Houston and Sharron (Dennis) Hamby. A 1982 graduate of Olton High School, Brent will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Sharron Hamby, his wife of 26 years, Christy Landrum, three sons, Loren Cook, Ryan Cook, and Richard Hamby, a brother, Ken Hamby, and three sisters, Sharissa Karol, Crystal Lasater, and Paige Hamby.  He was blessed with one grandchild, Averie Blair Cook.
