Carmen Mendoza, 69, of Olton, died Saturday, October 10, 2020, in Olton.  No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Carmen was born February 7, 1951, in Robstown, Texas, to Manuel and Manuela (Castillo) Alvarez.  A lifetime Olton resident, Carmen was a Catholic and was married to Robert Casares.  Carmen enjoyed going out to eat and loved music and dancing.  Always thinking of others before her self, Carmen was considered a mom and grandmother to many.  She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially her grandson, Oliver.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lupe Diaz.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Casares of Olton, two daughters, Evangelica Mendoza and Marive Mendoza, both of Olton, and two brothers, Richard Alvarez and Manuel Alvarez, both of Olton.  She was blessed with five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
