Carolina Amaya, 78, of Olton, died Thursday, December 16, 2021, in Olton.  Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2021, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton.  Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Fr. Jeremy Trull, officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Ramage Funeral Directors.

Carolina was born March 1, 1943, in Edinburg, Texas, to Carlos and Dolores (Palacios) Garza.  She married Eluterio Amaya on September 12, 1964, in Olton and they were married over 57 years.  She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed going to casinos and always seemed to have good luck.  Family gatherings were important and special to her and she will be greatly missed.

Carolina was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert Amaya, in 2016, and five sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Eluterio Amaya of Olton, six sons, Ramiro Amaya of Monahans, Victor Amaya of Levelland, Luis Amaya of Olton, Alex Amaya of Hereford, Rene Amaya and Lucas Amaya, both of Lubbock, four daughters, Rachel Amaya of Olton, Rosalinda Roberts of Olton, Rebecca Ramon of Fredericksburg, and Janie Amaya of Olton, and three brothers.  She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
