Catherine Ann Stroebel, 77, of Olton, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Olton. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Olton with Brother Larry Holder officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Catherine was born December 14, 1936, in Sudan, Texas to Earl and Gladys (Jackson) Dodd. She graduated from Olton High School in 1955. On April 8, 1956, she married Andy Stroebel in Olton. Cathy was a member of the First United Methodist Church where, over the years, she served in many various capacities. She worked as a teacher's assistant at Olton ISD for many years. She served on the board of directors for the Olton Clinic, helped with the Sandhills Pageant, and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed watching sports and was an avid supporter of Olton Mustang sports.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Stroebel and a daughter, Julie Ann Stroebel.

Survivors include her husband, Andy Stroebel of Olton, two sons, Vance Stroebel of Flower Mound and Stan Stroebel and his wife, Misty of Dumas and a daughter-in-law, Jo Stroebel of Dumas. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Brandon and his wife, Kaysha, Andrea and her husband, Chance, Shae, Dillon, Aarika, Kody, and Kyle and one great-grandchild: Aubreigh.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2014.
