Obituary

On Thursday, July 7, 1988, Christina "Tina" Padilla Rejino was born to Baltazar and Avelina (Estrada) Padilla in Levelland, Texas.  Tina spent the next 36 years of her life loving the Lord and serving others. On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, God called Tina home after a brave battle with cancer.

Proverbs 31:26-28 says, "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her." To meet Tina was to immediately know there was something special about her. As a student at Levelland High School, Tina loved softball and tennis and graduated from LHS in 2006. On November 10, 2012, Tina married her best friend and the love of her life, Aaron. In 2015, Aaron and Tina moved their young family home, to Olton, to plant roots and begin creating lasting memories for their children. Sometimes known as a "Dreamer", Tina supported her husband when he dreamed of opening Rejino Barbeque, and in 2018, that dream came to fruition. From then on, you could find Aaron and Tina working side by side as they served up some of the best barbeque in Texas.

Tina had a big smile and an infectious laugh that could brighten the darkest of days. She was a beloved member of the Olton community and an active member of the Plainview First Assembly where she faithfully served in various ministries, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. She was a woman of unwavering faith, whose love for God was reflected in her everyday actions, inspiring all those who knew her. If you were to ask Tina what she was most proud of, she would quickly tell you, "My family!" It was her love that shaped the hearts and lives of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Tina was preceded in death by her grandparents, Angel and Daria Padilla and Antonio and Josefina Estrada and an uncle, Ruben Padilla.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Aaron Rejino and daughters, Ella and Alivia, of Olton, her parents, Baltazar and Avelina Padilla of Levelland, her sisters, Angie Padilla of Lubbock, Myndi Padilla of Levelland, and Rachel Padilla of Levelland. Tina was also a cherished daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, and aunt in the Rejino and Padilla families. Tina leaves behind countless other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, at Plainview First Assembly, in Plainview, with Pastor Nelson Gonzalez officiating and under the special care of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held at Ramage Funeral Directors, in Olton, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
