Obituary
Clestine Carpenter, 90, of Bryan and formerly of Olton, died Friday, June 4, 2010 in North Richland Hills. Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Olton Cemetery with Brother Larry Holder officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Erma Clestine Carpenter was born February 7, 1920 in Childress County, Texas to William Clyde and Lanora Salmon Dennis. She was a beautician for many years and was a Methodist. She married Clarence Carpenter October 13, 1942 in Altus, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Carpenter in 1993 and a sister, Bobbye June Wilson.
Survivors include three sisters, Evelyn Gallaway of Houston, Verma Dellis of Amarillo, and Bettye Dodd of Bryan, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
