Clifford "CL" Curry, 75, of Olton, died Monday, November 7, 2011, in Lubbock. Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 11, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Olton with Brother Larry Holder officiating and arrangements under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Clifford "CL" Curry was born April 10, 1936 in Floydada to Clifford and Addie Aaron Curry. On June 4, 1958, he married Torchie Cure. He was an educator for 34 years and seven of those years were spent serving the Olton schools. He also taught for Pettus I.S.D., Boling I.S.D., Round Top-Carmine I.S.D. as superintendent, and Eldorado I.S.D. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the masonic lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Torchie in 2010, a son, Victor Kyle Curry in 1998, and a granddaughter, Teri LaRue Silvas in 1985.
Survivors include two daughters, Torri Silvas and her husband, Refugio Silvas, Jr. of Tyler, and Billie Dyer and her husband, Dan of Palestine, two sisters, Marcelle Wagner of Victoria and Claudine Mayes of Canyon Lake. He was blessed with three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 10, 2011.
