Cynthia "Cindy" O'Neil, 72, of Olton and formerly of Chandler, AZ, died Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Olton.  Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Wellington Church of Christ in Wellington.  Interment will follow at Wellington Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Wellington Church of Christ following the committal service at the cemetery.

Cindy was born August 22, 1949, in College Station, Texas, to Austin, Jr. and Della Faye (Coleman) O'Neil.  A graduate of Abernathy High School, Cindy attended Texas Tech University and earned her bachelor's degree in interior design. She was a general manager for Casa Phoenix and lived in Arizona for many years before moving to Olton in 2021. Cindy was a collector of Native American art and had many paintings and pieces of pottery.  She was a world traveler and had traveled to many places including Germany, Peru, Australia, and Norway. She was a member of the Phi Mu sorority where she made many lifetime friends whom she considered her family. An avid 42 and domino player, Cindy also loved to ski. Above all else, Cindy's family was especially important and close to her and she will be dearly missed.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Pat O'Neil.

Survivors include her sister, Linda Leathers and her husband David of Olton, three nephews, Ryan Leathers of Olton, David O'Neil and his wife Karen of Winchester, VA, and Mark O'Neil and his wife Lynn of McKinney, and two nieces, Skye Hattenbach and her husband Dustin of Midland and Rebecca O'Neil of McKinney.  She was blessed with 14 great-nieces and nephews, four of them she was especially close to include Jayden Leathers, Shaylee Pearl Leathers, Brecken Hattenbach, and Rowen Hattenbach and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
