Daisy Crawford, 92, of Olton, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 in Olton. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Main Street Church of Christ in Olton with Mr. Brian Boverie and Mr. Barry Boverie officiating. Interment will follow at Springlake Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Daisy was born August 11, 1917 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to John and Bessie Long Jones. She married Meredith Crawford December 3, 1935 in Littlefield and was a homemaker. She moved to the Olton area in 1940 and was a member of Main Street Church of Christ. Daisy taught children's bible classes for many years and volunteered at the Runningwater Draw Care Center. In 1996, Daisy was named the Sandhill's Queen during Olton's Sandhill's Celebration. She was a talented seamstress and often sewed for neighbors and friends in the community. During her later years, Daisy loved to walk. She could often be found walking around the track at a pace that was hard for anyone to keep up with.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Meredith in 2003, a son, Jimmy Don Crawford in 1940, two brothers, and a sister.

Daisy was survived by two daughters, Kathryn Bryant of Olton, and Johnnie Boverie and her husband, Bill of Cloudcroft, N.M. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Stephanie Luedke, Latayne Smith, Debbie Hogan, Brian Boverie, and Barry Boverie, sixteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, March 8, 2010 from 5 to 7:00 P.M.
