Daniel M. Sanchez, 71, of Hart, died Friday, October 4, 2013, in Lubbock. Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 8, at St. John's Catholic Church in Hart. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 9, at St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Raj (Arockiaraj) Malapady officiating. Interment will follow at Hart Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton.

Mr. Sanchez was born June 25, 1942, in Brackettville, Texas to Manuel and Catarina Martinez Sanchez. He moved to Hart in 1975 from Houston and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Daniel loved music, dancing, and joking around. During his lengthy illness, he never gave up on life and was a fighter until the end.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Claudio and Jesse, and a sister, Josie.

Survivors include his son, Daniel Sanchez, Jr. of Lubbock, three daughters, Debbie Sanchez and Gail Sanchez, both of Lubbock and Dail Sanchez of Hart, two brothers, Manuel Sanchez of Hart and Paul Sanchez of Plainview, and two sisters, Elena Martinez of Hart and Rosa Reyes of Plainview. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Joshua, Juan, Ellen, Stefanie, William, Kimberly, Kassandra, and Jaime Jr. and eight great-grandchildren.
