David Noah (Rambo) Perez, 55, of Lubbock and formerly of Olton, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 9, 2017, at the First Assembly of God church in Olton with Mr. Ted Teeter and Mr. Danny Berlanga officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 10:00 P.M. at the First Assembly of God church, Sunday, October 8, 2017.
David was born in Muleshoe, Texas, on April 8, 1962, to Vicente and Olga (Berlanga) Perez. He graduated from Olton High School in 1980. Shortly after high school, David enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and was proud to serve his country. A self contractor for many years, David enjoyed sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, loved his animals, cooking, reading, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vicente Perez, his grandparents, Ramon and Leanor Berlanga, grandmother, Thomasa Perez, his sister, Christi Perez, and his trusted chihuahua, Remi.
David is survived by his mother, Olga Berlanga of Olton, two brothers, Richard Perez and his wife, Gilda of Olton and Joe Ray Perez and his wife, Shantel of Amarillo, and five sisters, Tabytha Perez of Lubbock, Elizabeth Valadez and her husband, Ricky of Hereford, Lisa Perez, Rita Perez, and Victoria Perez, all of Amarillo. He was blessed with many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles and will be missed by all his family.
