David Cantu Sifuentes, 65, of Olton, Texas, died Monday, May 19, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, Texas, under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.

David was born on January 4, 1960, in Littlefield, Texas, to Benito and Lillie (Cantu) Sifuentes. A proud veteran, David served in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 2005. During his 22 years of service, he served in the Gulf War, the Bosnian War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was deeply dedicated to his country and formed strong, lifelong bonds with his fellow servicemen.

A longtime resident of Olton, David was a faithful member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He had a deep love for music and enjoyed attending concerts whenever he could. David also had a passion for cooking—he especially loved grilling and sharing meals with family and friends. His laughter, hospitality, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

David was preceded in death by his father, Benito Sifuentes, and his brother, Mike Sifuentes.

He is survived by his mother, Lillie Sifuentes of Olton; his brother, Federico Sifuentes of Carrollton; his sister, Christine Goss and husband John of Amarillo; his good military brother and lifelong friend, Mark Smith of Bloomington, Indiana; five nieces and one nephew, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
