Don Brooks, 75, of Olton, died Friday, December 19, 2014, in Olton. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 22, at the First United Methodist Church in Olton with Brother Larry Holder, Mr. Steve Spain, and Mr. Nick Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Robert Don Brooks was born August 22, 1939, in Dumas, Texas to Robert and Mary (Wilson) Brooks. He grew up in Tulia and later was a farmer, rancher, and horseman in Hereford and Olton before retiring in 2003. Don was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the PRCA, and the Red Angus Association. He moved to Olton in 2000 and in 2002, he married Alicegene Sherry in Clovis, N.M.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael Brooks and Jack Brooks.

Survivors include his wife, Alicegene of Olton, three daughters, Amber Ford and her husband, Daniel of Clarendon, Cassie Elliot and her husband, Joe of Panhandle, and Taylor Hill and her husband, Bodie of Blanchard, OK, and three sisters, Frances L. Brooks of Ft. Worth, Betty Sue Brooks of Canton, GA, and Judye Derr and her husband, Jim of Canton, GA. He was blessed with six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, December 21.
