Dora Martinez, 79, of Olton, died Friday, January 27, 2012 in Lubbock. Evening services are scheduled for 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church in Olton. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Lupe Randall and Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Dora was born December 24, 1932 in Acuna, Mexico to Dolores and Petra Gonzalez Ramirez. She was a longtime Olton resident and married Elias Martinez January 3, 1955 in Acuna, Mexico. She was very active at Trinity Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and the choir director. She was also the past president of WMU at Trinity Baptist Church.

She was prededed in death by her husband, Elias Martinez, on September 4, 2011, her parents, four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her son, Hector Martinez of Olton, her daughter, Rosa Casarez of Plainview, a brother, Elias Ramirez of North Carolina, and a sister, Celia Pacheco of Washington State. She was blessed with two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
