Edith Etter Clift Mayberry of San Angelo and formerly of Olton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, at the age of 95 years. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Olton Cemetery with Rev. Leon Clift officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.


She was born in Littlefield, Texas, Oct. 10, 1915, to William Jackson and Nora Williams. She gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 15 years and was active in church her entire life.

She is survived by sons Alton Roy Clift and wife Cindy of Amarillo, Leon Joel Clift and wife Kathy of Stephenville, daughters Juanita Joyce Wheeler and husband Billy Ross of Rankin, Judy Kay Bradshaw of Killeen and LaQuita Belle Wood and husband Hub of San Angelo. She is also survived by one sister, June Davis of Hereford.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hubert F. Clift and Homer T. Mayberry; three sons; her parents; three brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton, Texas, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, in Olton.
