Elizabeth Amaya, 66, of Olton, died Thursday, December 25, 2014, in Lubbock. Rosary will be said at 7:30 P.M., Friday, December 26, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 27, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. John Smith as celebrant. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Celestina Elizabeth Amaya was born May 19, 1948, in Mexico, to Manuel and Florencia Garcia Cano. She moved to Olton in 1974 from El Paso and married Emilio Amaya on April 21, 1975. Elizabeth was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and worked as a CNA at Prairie House in Plainview. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and going to lakes. Her most special times were spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Survivors include her husband, Emilio Amaya of Olton, her daughter, Edith Amaya of Olton, a brother, Juan Cano of Olton, and a sister, Rosa Chavez of Kempner, TX. She was blessed with one grandson and four granddaughters.
