Ellen Small, 100, of Olton, died Friday, December 7, 2018, in Plainview.  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 10, 2018, at Olton Cemetery, with Brother Neely Landrum officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, December 9, 2018.

Mary Ellen Small was born November 28, 1918, in Tara, Texas, to John and Alma Smiddy.  She married J.L. Small on August 28, 1939.  They moved to Circle in 1949 and then to Olton in 1954.  Always keeping busy, Ellen worked at Whites Auto and J.C. Jones Co. in Olton.  She loved to garden and work with her flowers.  Taking walks with her husband was special to her and they did so everyday.  Canning and especially reading were two of her favorite things to do.  Family was important to her and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Small in 2000, and two sisters.

Survivors include her son, Randall Small and his wife, Laura of Dimmitt, and two daughters, Patricia Conrad and Laquita Knowles, both of Olton.  She was blessed with six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
