Esperanza "Hope" Rodriguez, 57, of Amarillo and formerly of Olton, passed away on April 12, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas. Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2026, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, in Olton. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Alex Ambrose officiating. Interment will follow at Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 17, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.
Hope was born on August 1, 1968, in Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to her beloved parents, Prudencio and Inocencia Salinas. She attended Cotton Center High School, where she was part of the graduating class of 1987. She was known for her fierce spirit and outgoing personality, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. In 1989, Hope married the love of her life, Gabino Rodriguez.
A devoted caregiver, Esperanza expressed her love through service to others. Her work as a CNA and in home health care reflected her compassionate heart and unwavering dedication to helping those in need. She was also deeply rooted in her Catholic faith and was an active member of the Catholic Daughters.
Hope's greatest joy was caring for her family, especially through cooking and sharing meals. Her Mexican wedding cookies will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gabino Rodriguez; her children, Beatrice Ray and her husband Nehemiah Ray, their children, Gabriel and Remy Ray; Gabino Rodriguez, Jr. and his partner, Autumn Sandlin; and her youngest son, Robert Rodriguez. As well as her three sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Tia, and friend.
