Estes M. Bartlett, 88, of Fritch, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, in Fritch. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 9, at Olton Cemetery, in Olton, Texas, with Bro. David Azam officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton.

Estes was born October 5, 1936, in Wellington, Texas, to Rube and Leatrice (Estes) Bartlett. He graduated from Olton High School in 1955 and married the love of his life, Vera Jean Stiles, in July of 1957, in Olton. They shared 68 wonderful years of marriage.

In 1963, Estes and Vera moved to Oklahoma, where he worked as a cowboy and ranch foreman for the Goyen Ranch, the K.S. Adams Ranch, and the Hughes Ranch. In 1982, they made their home in Fritch, where Estes went to work for Phillips Petroleum in Borger, retiring after 14 years of service.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fritch and a true cowboy at heart. A skilled horseman, Estes had a deep love for horses and took great pride in braiding reins and headstalls by hand. He also had a passion for reading and was an avid history buff.

Estes was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Joe Don Bartlett; and a sister, Patricia Glasscock.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Vera Bartlett of Fritch; his son, Monte Bartlett of Fritch; his daughter, Debbie Duncan and husband Lowell of Amarillo; four grandsons; two great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
