Francisca "Wela" Salinas, 79, of Plainview and formerly of Olton, died Saturday, November 28, 2020, in Plainview.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at Olton Cemetery with Rev. Eric Flores officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Viewing will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

On August 24, 1941, Francisca was born in Devine, Texas, to Rafael Sr. and Pillar (Salazar) Monreal.  She married Cristel Salinas on September 10, 1955, in Littlefield and they were married for 58 years.  A homemaker and a Catholic, Wela always put her family first throughout her life.  She took good care of her family and enjoyed spending time with them.  She also enjoyed watching television, especially gameshows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cristel Salinas, in 2013, a daughter, Pillar Salinas, in 1957, two brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include five sons, Roberto Salinas and his wife Dolores of Olton, Rafael Salinas of McKinney, Rodoefo Salinas and his wife Christina of Plainview, Cristoval Salinas and his wife Bertha of Plainview, and Ruben Salinas and his wife Estella of Plainview, one daughter, Diane S. Castillo and her husband Ernesto of Crowley, and two brothers, Solomon Monreal of Earth and Estevan Monreal of Devine.  She was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
