Garrett Byers, 19, of Hereford, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, in Hereford. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 19, at Hereford Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Ron Muller, pastor of Palo Duro Baptist Church in Wildorado, officiating. Interment will follow at Earth Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Garrett was born November 7, 1994, in Plainview to Brannon and Erin Bridges Byers. He moved to Hereford in 2006 from Springlake and was a member of Hereford Church of the Nazarene. He graduated from Hereford High School in 2013 and was currently attending West Texas A&M. Garrett enjoyed hanging out with his friends and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ricky Byers, in 2007.

Survivors include his parents, Brannon and Erin Byers of Hereford, his sister, Brenna Byers of Hereford, his grandparents, Bruce and Phyllis Bridges of Springlake and Wendell and Pansy Bostwick of Melrose, N.M., and his great-grandparents, Elaine Been of Olton, Evelyn Bridges of Ruidoso, and Glen and Faye Smith of Sundown.
