Gary Lee Roberts, 71, of Hale Center, died Friday, December 11, 2020.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Hale Center Cemetery with Brother Jimmy Cameron officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Viewing will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.

Gary was born July 30, 1949, in Dublin, Texas, to Audie and Billie Ruth (Hall) Roberts.  He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.  On November 5, 1988, he married Linda Cherry, in Lubbock.  Gary moved to Hale Center in 2011 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Always the jokester, Gary enjoyed gardening and grilling out.

He was preceded in death by his father, Audie Roberts, and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Roberts of Hale Center, his mother, Billie Roberts of Portales, step-son, Rodney McWilliams and his wife Beth of Anton, two brothers, Russell Roberts and Larry Roberts, both of Portales, and two sisters, Patricia Young of Clovis and Sharon Reynolds of Mountainair, New Mexico.
