Gerald Duane Allcorn, 77, a lifelong resident of Olton, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 25, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam and Brother Kyle Streun officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Gerald was born June 14, 1934 in Olton to Jack and Madeline Allcorn. He was married for 58 years to his high school sweetheart, Alene Carson Allcorn. Gerald was passionate about the cattle business and left a legacy of cattlemen in his children and grandchildren. He was active in the Olton community serving on the board of directors for Olton ISD, Olton Grain Co-op, and the Olton Co-op Gin. He was involved in the Olton Baseball Association serving in numerous roles and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Cole.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Alene Allcorn of Olton, three sons, Vic Allcorn and his wife, Mirth of Amarillo, Kyle Allcorn and his wife, Martha of Olton, Troy Don Allcorn and his wife, Paula of Olton,and a brother, R.V. Allcorn of Olton. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Sherry Parkes and her husband, Rob, Ashley, Dan and his wife, Natalie, Anna Lee, Natalie, Audra Beth, and Jack Allcorn. He also had a great-grandson, Sawyer Williams.
