Gerardo Romero, 62, of Earth, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Lubbock.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Iglesia Del Pueblo in Earth with Pastor Angie Castillo officiating.  Interment will follow at Earth Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held at Iglesia Del Pueblo in Earth from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 4, 2018.

Juan Gerardo Romero was born December 27, 1955, in Durango, Mexico, to Atanacio and Maria Romero.  He married Maria Guerro in 1975, in Juarez, Mexico.  Gerardo moved to Earth in 2000 and attended Iglesia Del Pueblo.  He enjoyed working and especially loved his trips to Muleshoe and Plainview to eat.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria, in 1997, his parents, a son, Luis Romero, a brother, Manuel Resendez, and a sister, Jovita Romero.

Survivors include three daughters, Gracie Romero of El Paso, Marisela Romero and Claudia Romero, both of Juarez, and two sisters, Teresa Reyes and Lydia Resendez, both of Earth.  He was blessed with 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
