Obituary
Glen W. Exter, 86, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Olton. Graveside services will be
11:00 AM Friday, December 26, 2008 at Olton Cemetery with Mr. J.W. Hamby officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Glen was born August 10, 1922 in Dalhart, TX. He served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945. He graduated from ACU in 1948 and married Wanda Langford on September 23, 1948. They moved to Olton in 1949 from Amarillo and he farmed until 1957. He then owned and operated Glen Exter Insurance for many years. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ and served on the LCU Board of Directors. He was also past president and served on the board for Blue Haven Youth Camp from 1957 to the present time.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda of Olton, his son, Steve Exter and his wife, Kathy of Lubbock, a grandson, Monty Exter and his wife, Andrea of Austin, and a brother in law and sister in law, Bill and Lee Langford of Olton.
Memorials may be made to Blue Haven Youth Camp 1020 Austin Brownwood, TX 76801.
