Harold "Tiney" Jordan, 75, passed away March 25, 2009 in Lubbock. Services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 29, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in Olton with Brother Larry Holder officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Tiney was born October 20, 1933 in Circle, Texas to Auston and Myrtle Jordan. He married Bettye Blackwell May 29, 1954 in Clovis, N.M. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. Tiney has been the manager and owner of Olton Auto Supply since 1956. He dedicated his life to serving others. He was the founder of Olton's Boy Scout Troop #220. He was the Olton Volunteer Fire Department Fire Marshall and retired as the Fire Chief. He served on the Olton Volunteer Ambulance Association as a driver from 1979 to 1992. He was the Olton Ambulance Volunteer of the year and Fireman of the year numerous times. Tiney was also named Olton's Citizen Through the Years in 1985. He was a member of VFW Post #15045 and Masonic Lodge #1257. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the El Paso Chapter. He was a member of the Olton Lion's Club and the First United Methodist Church.
Tiney is survived by his wife, Bettye of Olton, a daughter, Debra Caskey and her husband, Mark of Lubbock, a son, Billy Harold Jordan and his wife, Lesa of Olton, seven grandchildren, Brandon Mason, Royce Hughes, Michael Jordan, Elizabeth "Liz" Green, Amber Caskey, Ashley Caskey, and Amanda Caskey. He was also blessed with eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Jordan and a baby sister, Lettie Frances Jordan.
