Hazel Lacewell, 108, of Olton, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in Olton.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Olton Cemetery with Brother David Azam officiating and under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.  The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, October 19, 2018.

Hazel was born February 21, 1910, in Caddo County, Texas, to S.S. and Ida (Langford) Vaughn.  She married James Witt Lacewell on July 21, 1928, in Hamilton County, Texas and they moved to Olton in 1933.  A longtime member of the First Baptist Church, Hazel was a hard working housewife and was talented in many areas.  She was a great seamstress and excellent cook and canner.  Gardening and painting were also a couple of her favorite pastimes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Witt Lacewell, in 1982 and a brother, Guy Vaughn.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Edmonson and her husband, Jerry of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and two grandchildren, Carrie Latzke of Oswego, Ill and Bryan Edmonson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  She was blessed with four great-grandchildren.
