Obituary
Helen Buckner, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Lubbock. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Olton with Andy Melton, pastor of Trinity Church in Littlefield officiating. Burial will follow at Olton Cemetery.
Mrs. Buckner was born May 25, 1925 in Allen, Texas to Jess and Bessie Hartline. She married William Buckner July 22, 1946 in Denison, Texas. She moved to Olton in 1949 from Corsicana, Texas. She was a member of Trinity Church in Littlefield and was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Jesse Buckner of Anson, TX, Frankie Buckner of Coleman, OK, and Larry Buckner of Sherman, TX, two sisters, Dorothy Nichols of Cartwright, OK, and Ruby Kaufman of Denison, TX, six grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1996.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, January 11, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
