Herman D. "Bud" Cooper, 72, of Lubbock, died Friday, February 1, 2013, in Lubbock. Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 8, 2013 at Main Street Church of Christ in Olton with Mr. Brad Wangerin officiating. Interment will follow at Springlake Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Bud was born April 5, 1940 in Littlefield, TX to Herman and Nova Kerrick Cooper. He was a lifetime area resident living in both Olton and Springlake before moving to Lubbock. He married Norma Jackson in April of 1972 and he loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kym Phillips in 2012.
Survivors include his wife, Norma of Lubbock, three sons, Kerry Cooper and his wife, Gail of Mesa, AZ, Kyle Cooper of San Antonio, and Charles McClain and his wife, Kathline of Houston, a daughter, Debbie McNamara and her husband, Lindel of Littlefield, a son-in-law, Billy Phillips of Brownwood, one brother, James Cooper of Childress, two sisters, Janet Cooper and Irma Cooper of Olton, and an uncle, Louie Kerrick of Brownfield. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and four nieces.
Memorials may be made to the Springlake Cemetery P.O. Box 129 Springlake, TX 79082.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, February 7, 2013.
