Herman B. Rose, 82, of Olton, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Olton. Services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Main Street Church of Christ with Brad Wangerin and Etta Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Herman was born April 15, 1930 to Walter and Dovie Cavett Rose. He graduated from Olton High School and Texas A&M with a bachelors degree in animal husbandry. He was a lifetime Olton resident and second generation farmer. On August 19, 1956, he married Ethel Wolff in Austin. Herman proudly served his country in the US Army from 1953 to 1961.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Garland Rose and Elson Rose, and a sister, Alete Rose.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel of Olton, two sons, Brent Rose and his wife, Cheryl of Olton and Bryan Rose and his wife, Dawn of Lubbock, and one brother, Oliver Rose of Olton. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Brayden, Alan, Kaylee, and Abbie.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7:00 P.M., Saturday, April 21, 2012.
