Hortencia Z. Ochoa, 86, of Olton, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, in Plainview. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2009 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton. Mass will be 10:00 AM, Monday, September 14, 2009 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father John Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.

Hortencia was born August 2, 1923 in Choate, TX to Ramon and Candida Zamora. She married Ysidro Ochoa March 16, 1946 in Panna Maria, TX. She moved to Olton in 1973 from Goliad, TX and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ysidro Ochoa III, five brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Ysidro Ochoa of Olton, five sons, Erasmo Ochoa and his wife, Teresa of Victoria, TX, Emilio Ochoa and his wife, Connie of Kyle, TX, Ernesto Ochoa and his wife, Elojia of Yorktown, TX, Robert Ochoa of Olton, and Joe Ochoa and his wife, Elsa of Yorktown, TX, four daughters, Julia Rodriguez and her husband, Roberto of Port Lavaca, TX, Gloria Perez and her husband, Antonio of Olton, Hortensia Villanueva and her husband, Joe of Olton, and Anita Marroquin of Taylor, Michigan. She also is survived by one brother, Erasmo Zamora of Olton, and a sister, Maria Garza of Springlake. She was blessed with 26 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
