Ignacio "Nacho" Martinez, Jr., 70, of Olton, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his home, in Olton.  Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton.  Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Jeremy Trull officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Ignacio was born February 6, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to Ignacio Sr. and Maria (Abrego) Martinez.  Ignacio married Manuela Garcia on April 14, 2000, in Amarillo. Moving to Olton in 1990 from Houston, Nacho was a long-time welder and farmer.  He enjoyed working with metal and had many "projects" that he built.  He also loved cats and spending time with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a grand-daughter, Paige Carlson.

Survivors include his wife, Manuela Martinez of Olton, his son, David Martinez of Amarillo, two daughters, Gina Carlson and husband John of Amarillo and Diana Evans and husband Cory of Amarillo, his stepdaughter, Laura Alcaraz and her husband Rosendo of Sudan, two brothers, Paul Martinez of Olton and Carlos Lopez of Plano and a sister, Gloria Fiero of Forney.  He was blessed with five grandchildren: Tyler, Michael, Eden, Jonas, and Kathryn.
