Obituary
Ineta Nixon passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 in Olton. Services will be Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Patrick Hamilton and Mr. Mike Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Olton Cemetery.
Mrs. Nixon was born February 4, 1915 in Lockney, Texas. She graduated from Olton High School in 1934. She married Floyd W. Dennis in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1949. She moved to Olton from Plainview in 1949 and married Vernon Nixon, October 30, 1971 in Olton. He preceded her in death in 2007. Ineta was a member of Main Street Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star. She also was one of the originators of Olton Cub Scout Pack 120.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Dennis of Blossom, TX, Darryl Dennis of Olton and Ronnie Dennis of Olton, three daughters, Anne Nicholas of Plainview, TX, Maenette Shipley of Graham, TX, and Sharron Hamby of Midland, TX, one brother, Curtis Wilkinson of Littlefield, TX, thirteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
